The location of Ava was perfect for my needs as it was within walking distance of the Kumpula Campus science park. The tram and bus services to the city center were also conveniently close by. Although the hotel was basic, it provided comfortable accommodations. The breakfast was great and well-organized, and the price-quality ratio was fair. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location and comfortable stay.

Security guard was very nice and did his best trying to accommodate us late in the night.

There is no cooking place at the apartment, only microwave oven

I liked the courtesy and responsiveness of the Hotel Ava's staff. And most of all I liked the availability of the kitchen, where we could get a tea or coffee at any time and even to heat some foods. It is a great possibility after walking all over the city during the whole day. Also I liked the prices and almost central location of this hotel. For me, it was the best choice if compare with other european hotels I have stayed at the last three years.

I wish there were air-conditioning. Too hot and stifling in mid-summer, especially in a room on the sunny side.

The location of this budget hotel was well-connected by public transport, making it easy to access the city centre, good quality restaurants and other attractions. We enjoyed taking the tram to town, as it was located nearby and took us right to the centre of town. Our hotel room was clean, and the service was good. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in our room rate. The view from our room was nice too.

We did notice that the facilities were a bit worn out and could have used some upgrades.

A Perfect Stay at a Conveniently Located Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel near a lovely park. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the bus stop that takes you straight to the airport. The staff at this hotel were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I was delighted to find that the rooms were equipped with twin beds, and my bed was incredibly comfortable, providing me with a restful night's sleep. The room also had a kitchenette, which was a pleasant surprise and added to the convenience of my stay. Additionally, the hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, which was a great way to start the day.

All my needs were met and I had a great stay.

Perhaps only the fact that parking was free of change.

The hotel rooms resembled low market student accommodation. These are only few examples of why this is the case. 1) The room had a small wet room with a shower head sticking out of the wall. This was separated from the toilet by a smelly shower curtain. Of course this meant that the entire bathroom got wet after taking a shower. 2) The room itself was very small and there was almost no space to put away our luggage. 3) Both windows could only be opened a tiny little bit which made it almost impossible to let any fresh air in (because the temperatures were quite high it made the room feel almost like a greenhouse) 4) The staff looked uninterested and cold. After we arrived we realized that there was no soap in the bathroom. We went to the reception straight away as we wanted to wash our hands after a long journey. We weren't even told a simple 'sorry'. Overall this made our stay in Helsinki quite a bad experience as we expected much better from a three star hotel.
